This engagement session was for my amazing couple Graciela + Abel, they are tying the knot in San Diego in March 2023. So much love was given post these images that I wanted to guide you on how to re-create a similar photo experience. First and foremost I always love to sit with my couples and talk about what they really want their engagement session to feel like. This session we talked about how they wanted their images to be worn, real life, and romantic.
Step 1: Locating a near lake, preferably with lots of trees and views surrounding it. We are in Southern California and chose to shoot in Lake Gregory, California
Step 2: Check to make sure the lake offers a boat rental. We went with Lake Gregory Company they had many different options and we went with their signature row boat.
Step 3: Make sure to bring florals, my couple brought 2 large arrangements that we placed inside the boat. The key is to make sure the floral feel like they are growing inside the boat. It is also a great idea to get florals that match your wedding theme. So that when your couple print their images they can use them for their wedding day and will look to trend!
